Thrust on stage at the tender age of 3 with the girl next door, I was an immediate star, according to my mother. Photographic evidence of me in a sailors outfit scarred me mentally, years later. I continued to enjoy the limelight on stage throughout my early years, famously taking to the stage, solo, at the age of 7 to perform ‘Berlington Bertie’. Sport and girls during my teens prevented me following up on my early stage career, but I always enjoyed being the centre of attention. No surprise then that compering weekly Karaoke gigs paid the bills through University. I followed a corporate, professional career path for some years before realizing that my ability to mimic accents, characters and styles, both speaking and singing, would lead me to a much more rewarding and enjoyable career in Voice Over.
In 2004, I started my research into the world of Voiceovers. I’ve since studied with top LA voice over coach, Nancy Wolfson & Donna Grillo, as well as the renowned Yvonne Morley (LAMDA). I continue learning to this day, having taken, amongst others, a Voiceover for Animation course at City Lit, Voiceover for Gaming courses with Peter Dickson and Mark Estdale (OMUK), and an ADR course with Louis Elman.
I now Voice full time from my ISDN equipped professional home studio, providing audio to clients worldwide, including Google, Shell, Ford, HSBC, Unilever, Pfizer, Asus, Sky, Fremantle Media, Discovery Channel, Stub Hub, and many many more.
